Requirements

The NSDC is happy to offer you training therefore we have minimum requirements for the courses we offer. Some of those requirements maybe different according to the nature of the project which the courses are under.  Our projects are guard toward different niches or the general population. We have two types of training offering which falls under the sponsored of paid category.

Social/Free

The NSDC’s Social/Free programmes seek to provide invaluable, life altering opportunities to unemployed /underemployed, vulnerable, and marginalized individuals. We seek to achieve this goal through our comprehensive, and passionately delivered employability training programmes. 

 

Eligibility/ Selection Criteria

  • Must be unemployed or under employed

  • Must be between the ages of 17 – 60 years

  • Must possess a valid form of identification

  • Must be at grade 6 academic level or higher

 

The eligibility / selection criteria will vary based on the targeted outcomes of specific training projects. 

 

Paid

The NSDC’s Paid Classes programmes seek to provide individuals with the opportunity to acquire new skills or enhance the skills that they possess, as part of a broader human resource development strategy. We seek to achieve this goal through our comprehensive, and passionately delivered employability training programmes.    

Eligibility/ Selection Criteria

  • Must be at grade 6 academic level or higher

  • The eligibility / selection criteria will vary based on the targeted outcomes of specific training projects.

Certification

  • National Vocational Qualification

  • Caribbean Vocational Qualification 

  • University of West Indies endorsed certificate
